AESTHETIC SURGERY OF THE EARS
This simple procedure can be performed to amend any undesired quality in the appearance of the ears.
The operation can be performed at any age, even during childhood (from the age of 6-7). This can help prevent the development of psychological (and therefore potentially academic) problems. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia.
The maximum required stay in hospital is 24 hours.
Convalescence:
A bandage will remain in place for one week. Afterwards a protective bandage will need to be worn day and night for two weeks.
Patients may experience some pain in the first two days following the operation. This can be treated with painkillers.
The results:
The scar is very discreet as it is hidden behind the ear.
