The facelift is a procedure that re-positions the facial tissues in order to counteract the effects of aging, muscle tension and sun exposure etc... Facelifts can be performed on men as well as women and usually obtain the best results if the patient is aged 45 or older.
Facelift, eyebrow lift, forehead lift with lipostructure and peeling… To get the best results the surgeon will adopt different techniques and approaches depending on the quality of your skin, the amount of looseness and how much skin or fat is to be removed. Lifts can be partial or be made more comprehensive to include procedures on the muscles, fat, the eyelids or the forehead.
Pre-operative examinations will always be performed to check for contraindications. Procedures typically take two to three hours and are performed with local or general anesthetic. Depending on the extent of the procedure an additional sedative may also be used. Such procedures will necessitate a hospital stay of between 24 and 48 hours.
Convalescence:
You will be able to move about on the first day and on the second day you will no longer require any bandages. You will typically experience a non-painful swelling that takes 8-12 days to fully subside. You will be able to resume full normal activity approximately two weeks after the operation.
The result:
The lift imbues the face with a radiant, rejuvenated quality. The results appear uniformly and typically last ten years.
