Rejuvenation of the eyebrow is achieved through a process that helps to blur the appearance of aging. This area is located between the cervico-facial area and the forehead. A lift can also be applied to those areas. An eyebrow lift is typically combined with a correction of the eyelids, although the procedure can be performed on its own.
The lift aims to improve sagging eyebrows, smooth wrinkles in the corner of the eyes and slightly tighten the skin of the upper eyelid. The procedure re-shapes features without transforming them and deals particularly with the edge of the eyebrows by restoring their original position.
At the top of the brow, it is principally the skin that becomes weaker over time.
The procedure restores harmony between the tip of the eyebrow and the eyelashes.
If the brow lift is performed alongside eyelid surgery, less skin will need to be removed and post-operative scarring will be reduced.
Brow lifts can be performed on men and women aged 40 or above. In cases where eyebrows are naturally positioned too low or there are inherited imperfections, the procedure can be performed at an earlier age.
As mentioned above, an eyebrow lift can be performed concurrently with an eyelid correction. It can also be combined with other surgical procedures like a forehead lift, lipofilling or a facelift.
While effective, this operation has its limits as it cannot halt the natural aging process.
